Add Optional Blocks
Add the Cart Editor to your cart page and enable Tally Embed in app embeds for the best experience.
Theme Setup by Product Type
Use a dedicated Shopify product template for each builder type. This keeps each product clean and prevents two upload or purchase experiences from appearing on the same page.
| Product Type | Theme Setup | Storefront Test |
|---|---|---|
| By Size | Create a By Size template, add Tally Quoter, and assign it to DTF, UV DTF, or sublimation products. | Upload, set width/height and quantity, confirm live price, and add to cart. |
| Gang Sheets | Create a Gang Sheet template and add the Gang Sheet Builder. Do not leave a second native upload widget active. | Build a sheet, run auto nesting, review resolution, and add the finished sheet. |
| Merch | Create a Merch template and add Tally Merch Builder. | Select garment/color, enter size quantities, choose print locations, upload artwork, and review the mockup. |
| Stickers & Sticker Sheets | Create the matching template and add Tally Quoter with that product configured in Sticker Settings. | Select material, size, quantity, contour/bleed options, and verify discounts. |

Navigate to: Tally App → Settings → Shipping
Select Local Pickup

Set the Promise
Configure the daily order cutoff, fulfillment time, time zone, and pickup hours. These values control the ready-time expectation shown to customers.
Enable Production QR Output
In the product's output settings, enable the pickup QR code and choose a readable pickup/shipping text color. Repeat for every applicable By Size or Gang Sheet product.
Run a Pickup Test
Place a test order, open it in Tally Orders, mark it ready for pickup, scan its QR code, and confirm the ready status and pickup details are correct.

Test it: upload a test image on the storefront, click Get Help, confirm the support inbox receives the secure link, open and edit the item, verify the customer sees the changes, then complete or resolve the request.
Installation Complete
Once the embed, templates, product blocks, pickup workflow, and Get Help test are complete, continue through the product-specific tabs in this guide.

AI Image Generation
Let customers create unique, print-ready designs from text descriptions:
- Customer enters a description (e.g., "A cartoon cat wearing sunglasses")

- Customer can regenerate for different results
- Generated images work like any uploaded image — resize, add to cart, etc.

Enabling AI Features
AI features are toggled per product in Item Settings (for standard items) or in Gang Sheet Builder settings. Background removal is enabled by default for gang sheet products.
Pricing & Discounts
Tally offers flexible pricing models to match any print business. Configure pricing per product for maximum control.
Pricing Modes
Per Unit
Fixed price per item. Best for pre-sized products like stickers or standard prints. Example: $0.20/unit.
Per Square Inch
Price calculated from image dimensions. Most popular for custom-sized prints. Example: $0.15/sq in.
Per Square Foot
Larger area pricing for signage and banners. Tally auto-converts from sq in. Example: $8.00/sq ft.
Per Square Centimeter
Metric pricing for international shops. Example: $0.02/sq cm.
Volume Discounts
Encourage larger orders with tiered pricing. Set threshold dollar amounts and corresponding discount percentages.
| Threshold | Discount | Example: $0.15/sq in base |
|---|---|---|
| $0 - $49.99 | 0% | $0.15/sq in |
| $50 - $99.99 | 5% | $0.1425/sq in |
| $100 - $249.99 | 10% | $0.135/sq in |
| $250+ | 15% | $0.1275/sq in |
Print Area Discounts
Print Area Discounts apply tiers using the total printable area rather than only item quantity or cart value. Use them when production efficiency improves as customers add more printed area.
- Choose the product and open its discount settings.
- Enable print-area discount tiers.
- Enter each area threshold and discount percentage.
- Decide whether quantity/volume discounts should also remain active.
- Test each method independently and then test both together.
You Can Use Both
Volume discounts and print-area discounts are separate controls. Enable either method or combine both, then verify the final stacking behavior and margin at every threshold.
Specialty Material Pricing
Sticker materials can use their own base price or a percentage increase over the default material. Configure specialty pricing per material in the Materials Admin Menu, then test the storefront price when switching between materials.
Pricing & Templates AI
Use the settings prompt to describe the setup you want, such as activating Holographic and Glitter, changing area pricing, preserving current discounts, adding a rush fee, or selecting a default template. The agent keeps context from current settings and earlier prompts so you can make follow-up changes without restating the entire configuration.
Review Before Publishing
AI-assisted setup reduces menu work, but the merchant remains responsible for validating prices, minimums, output sizes, materials, fees, discounts, and test orders.
Custom Fees
Add up to 5 custom fees per product:
- Per-Item Fees — Charged once for each image uploaded (e.g., "Art Setup: $2.00")
- Per-Order Fees — Charged once per order (e.g., "Rush Processing: $5.00")
Each fee gets a custom name, emoji icon, and can be toggled on/off.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum Quantity — Require a minimum number of items per order
- Minimum Order Amount — Set a dollar floor for orders
- Maximum Print Size — Cap the maximum dimensions customers can order
Billing Plans
| Plan | Price | Commission | Highlights |
|---|---|---|---|
| Partner | $0/mo | 2.5% per order | 100 AI credits, email support, all core features |
| Pro | $250/mo | 0% | Priority support, advanced discounts, early access to new features |
| Enterprise | $750/mo | 0% | 250 AI credits, white label, multi-store, API access |

Install Tally from the Shopify App Store, approve the requested permissions, enable Tally Embed, and open the Tally Drop area from the app navigation.
Review and Accept the Terms
Read the current terms, supported product rules, partner costs, merchant responsibilities, fulfillment eligibility, cutoff language, shipping behavior, refunds, and customer support responsibilities.
Select Supported Products
Choose the available DTF, UV DTF, or sticker products you want to sell. Review the current partner material, size, pricing, and production specifications before adding them.
Create or Import the Shopify Products
Use the Tally Drop product action to add the selected products to Shopify. Confirm titles, handles, descriptions, images, status, product organization, and any generated configuration.
Set Your Retail Pricing
Use current partner cost as the floor. Set the retail price, expected margin, discounts, minimums, and allowed optional cut or service fees. Test thresholds so promotions cannot erase margin.
Create a Dedicated Product Template
In Shopify Theme Customize, create or assign the appropriate Tally product template. Add the Tally app block, hide native quantity/variant/Buy controls that bypass the builder, and keep material, turnaround, shipping, and artwork requirements visible.
Install Cart Support
Add Tally Cart Editor to the cart template and keep Tally Embed enabled. Confirm the customer can edit the Tally item without losing images, dimensions, quantity, material, or pricing inputs.
Place a Complete Test Order
Use a real storefront session to upload print-ready artwork, choose product options, reach each discount threshold you plan to offer, edit the cart item, check out, and confirm the Shopify order metadata.
Verify Routing and Fulfillment
Confirm the eligible paid order is visible in the expected Tally Drop workflow with correct partner cost, customer price, merchant margin, shipping address, artwork, product, quantity, and production status.
Tally Drop Checklist
- Verify current partner product costs before setting retail prices.
- Match merchant discounts carefully so the customer discount does not erase margin.
- Confirm the order is print-ready and eligible for partner fulfillment.
- Review the current same-day cutoff and do not promise same-day fulfillment for ineligible orders.
- Confirm shipping address, blind-shipping behavior, turnaround messaging, and customer support responsibilities.
- Remember that no Tally usage fees are charged on Tally Drop orders; other Shopify, shipping, tax, refund, or production adjustments may still apply.
